Arc.UA is a non-profit non-governmental organization, that sees its goal in uniting the culture of quality analysis, research, creativity and common sense by promoting it among the Ukrainian public and political spheres. The organization was founded in November 2019 by Dr. Ulana Suprun, film director Volodymyr Tykhyi, and historian Stanislav Hreshchyshyn.
Arc.UA develops solutions to problems in different spheres of public life with the aim of helping Ukrainian society to make the country safer, healthier and prosperous.
Arc.UA believes that a weak culture of decision-making, based on facts, evidence, and quality research, is a key component of the lack of systemic and sustainable changes in Ukraine. Traditions, emotions, opinions of authority figures, and/or popular ideas, are often being used as key criteria for making decisions by citizens in their everyday life, as well as top executives in their everyday work. This translates into a waste of time and opportunities and poses a serious threat to the future of Ukraine and the region.
Thus, it is important to develop a constructive and professional dialogue with citizens as well as stakeholders, following the principles of respect and factuality. Simple solutions for complicated problems do not exist.
Arc.UA aims to create an independent, professional, and pro-Ukrainian think tank in Ukraine. The new institution will seek solutions to existing healthcare, education, cultural, security, and public administration problems via research, integration and enhancement of expert or value-related environments, accompanied by high-quality education and communication.
It is important for the organization to become an example not only in professionalism and efficiency, but also in building a reputable institution of responsibility in Ukraine. We believe that the best way to build a culture of common sense in Ukraine, is through real examples and precedents.
