Misinformation, propaganda, diversity of public opinion, manipulation, psychological and psychotropic pressure, and rumors are the instruments which have accompanied Russia’s actions on the other “frontline” in the information war against Ukraine.
We still don’t have the instruments to counter the spread of propaganda narratives and influence the perception of Ukrainians in this hybrid war. Because of this, we are virtually unable to defend ourselves in the information space, and do not have clearly defined principles based on international practices and standards.
The National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) is the national insurance provider, which guarantees medical services for all citizens of Ukraine, has started a contest for the post of the Head of the NHSU today.
The NHSU finances the “Available Medicine” (Dostupni Liky) program; a primary healthcare link - by signing contracts with hospitals and family doctors; allocates funds for the treatment of each patient, and thus provides free services to Ukrainian citizens with their family doctors, pediatricians and nurses.
"If you are at war with Russia, why do you speak Russian?" This was the question, raised by a Frenchman in Paris that forced the Russian-Ukrainian war veteran Valery Ananiev to switch to using Ukrainian. For a long time, he was Russian speaking, because he thought it was more prestigious and educated. But the question while on a trip to France, where all the music on the radio and movies on television are French, opened his eyes as to why language is important.
The next year will definitely become a decisive challenge for the transformation in the system of healthcare in Ukraine. The changes in the financing system in hospitals and poly clinics, the transit to a new internship model, the launch of transplantation, and many other factors are key reasons for this challenge. Additional challenges already appear before the Ministry of Health because of the loss of professional civil servants who quit their posts due to differences in values with the new administration. We prepared a “to do” list for the sphere of healthcare in 2020 at the request of “Tyzhden’”.
The world needs 99 ½ more years to fill the gender gap. Another century is needed to destroy the barriers in order to create a level playing field in the key spheres of life for everyone. This is only possible under the conditions that countries are going to develop in a rather rapid pace.
